Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Rentelie platform ("Service") operated by Rentelie ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Description of Service
Rentelie is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform that enables rental businesses ("Tenants") to manage their fleet, accept online bookings, and process payments through a branded public storefront. Rentelie also facilitates connections between Tenants and their end customers ("Customers").
2. Accounts
Registration
You must provide accurate, complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using Rentelie, you represent that you meet this requirement.
Account responsibility
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@rentelie.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Subscription Plans and Payment
Plans
Rentelie offers Free, Pro, and Business subscription plans. Plan details, features, and pricing are available at rentelie.com/settings/billing.
Billing
Paid plans are billed monthly. Payment is processed securely through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial periods.
Price changes
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
4. Tenant Responsibilities
As a Tenant using Rentelie to run your rental business, you agree to:
- Provide accurate business information and maintain it up to date
- Honor all bookings made through your storefront
- Comply with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction, including consumer protection, data privacy, and rental regulations
- Process refunds and cancellations in accordance with the cancellation policy you set in your account
- Collect and remit any applicable taxes on your rental transactions
- Treat your customers fairly and professionally
- Not use the Service for any illegal or fraudulent purpose
5. Platform Fee
Rentelie charges a 1% application fee on each successful customer booking payment processed through Stripe Connect. This fee is automatically deducted at the time of payment. Tenants keep the remaining 99% of each transaction.
Subscription fees and platform fees are separate charges.
6. Stripe Connect
To accept payments through your storefront, you must connect a Stripe account. By doing so, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service (stripe.com/legal). Rentelie is not responsible for Stripe's actions, decisions, or service interruptions.
7. Customer Bookings
When a Customer makes a booking through a Tenant's storefront:
- The contract for the rental is between the Tenant and the Customer
- Rentelie facilitates the transaction but is not a party to the rental agreement
- Rentelie is not responsible for the condition of vehicles, fulfillment of bookings, or any disputes between Tenants and Customers
- Tenants are solely responsible for their cancellation and refund policies
8. Prohibited Uses
You may not use Rentelie to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Infringe the intellectual property rights of others
- Transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
- Engage in fraudulent transactions
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Scrape, crawl, or collect data without permission
- Resell or sublicense the Service without our written consent
9. Intellectual Property
Our IP
The Rentelie platform, including its design, code, trademarks, and content, is owned by Rentelie and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.
Your content
You retain ownership of content you upload to Rentelie (logos, vehicle photos, business descriptions). By uploading content, you grant us a license to display and store it for the purpose of providing the Service.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RENTELIE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rentelie and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
13. Termination
By you
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support@rentelie.com or through your account settings.
By us
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our sole discretion. We will provide notice where reasonably practicable.
Effect of termination
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may retain your data for up to 90 days before deletion, except where longer retention is required by law.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the platform. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
